Mar Roxas, ‘Daang Matuwid’ coalition try to woo Cebuanos
LAPU LAPU CITY, Cebu, Philippines — Administration presidential candidate Mar Roxas is making the rounds of Cebu province where he won by a landslide in the 2010 national elections over now Vice President Jejomar Binay.
President Aquino is joining Roxas, his running mate Leni Robredo and Liberal Party (LP) senatorial bets in their Cebu sorties.
The president will lead the grand LP rally Thursday afternoon at the Mandaue Sports Complex where 6,000 supporters are expected to attend.

In 2010, when Roxas ran for vice president, he got 814,397 votes in Cebu province while Binay got 323,171.
Article continues after this advertisementBefore the main event, Roxas and Robredo had a radio guesting in Cebu City before visiting a shipyard in Lapu-Lapu City to touch base with his supporters from the maritime industry.
Article continues after this advertisementAt the shipyard, Roxas was accompanied by LP senatorial candidate Leila de Lima and presidential adviser for political affairs Ronald Llamas.
Evercat Company Inc. president Andrew Aznar, Dominique Vaireaux-Bombezy took Roxas and his entourage on a tour of the facility which boasts of “world-class” marine vessels built by Filipinos.
From Lapu-Lapu City, Roxas and Robredo, this time with the “Daang Matuwid” coalition senatorial slate, will travel to Daanbantayan to meet with some 3,500 multi-sectoral leaders and beneficiaries of the Pantawid Pamilyang Pilipino Program.
