NAIA cop sued by lady guard for sexual harassment
MANILA — A policeman assigned at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 3 was suspended and charged after a female security guard accused him of touching her breast.
But PO3 Jerome Albores of the Philippine National Police’s Aviation Security Group (PNP-Avsegroup) maintained that what happened was an accident.
Despite this assertion, charges of sexual harassment and acts of lasciviousness were filed in the Pasay City prosecutor’s office against Albores, who has also been slapped with an administrative case for grave misconduct, Avsegroup-National Capital Region (NCR) head Senior Supt. Adolfo Samala said.
“He claimed that it was not deliberate and that his arm accidentally touched the woman’s breast when he walked past her,” Samala said the Philippine Daily Inquirer on Wednesday.
The incident happened around 7 p.m. on Feb. 21 at the airport terminal’s Bravo base security office where Avsegroup and Airport Police Department (APD) personnel as well as security guards are stationed.
According to the complaint filed by Amcely Doridor, she was on duty when Albores started chatting with her. She claimed that before leaving, the policeman touched her breast.
