Zambales widow killed three months after husband’s murder

OLONGAPO CITY – A widow was shot and killed by two unidentified motorcycle-riding assailants in Zambales’ Sta. Cruz town on Tuesday, three months after her husband’s murder, police said.

Teofila Venturozo, 55, was on board a moving tricycle along the national road when the suspects drove past and opened fire, hitting her three times at 4:55 p.m. in Barangay (village) Poblacion South.

Venturozo died while being treated for multiple gunshot wounds in a hospital in Iba town, said SPO2 Alvin Mantes, assistant investigator at Sta. Cruz police station.

Police recovered two empty shells of caliber .9mm pistol from the crime scene.
