MANILA — The Bureau of Customs has warned the public against illegal recruiters who claim to have connections with the bureau and ask for money in exchange for employment.

“The BOC strongly denies any connection with any individual or organization recruiting for the bureau in exchange of money,” the bureau said in a statement on Thursday.

These recruiters, the BOC said, have been providing fake IDs, shirts bearing the BOC seal and a pseudo appointment paper, signed by someone purportedly from the HR department of the bureau.

The BOC has reminded the public that it is following the hiring procedure prescribed by the Civil Service Commission rules and regulations and does not require any payment of fees.  SFM
