Duterte supporters to kick off campaign in Mindanao with motorcade

OZAMIZ CITY – Thousands of supporters of Davao City mayor and presidential aspirant Rodrigo Duterte in Misamis Occidental will open his campaign in the province through a morning motorcade on Tuesday.

The plan is to cover practically all localities from its northern border with Zamboanga del Norte to its southern border with Zamboanga del Sur in a bid to make a dent in the presumed bailiwick of administration bet Mar Roxas.
Misamis Occidental politicians earlier cast their lot behind President Aquino’s chosen successor, grateful for some P5-Billion worth of development projects the national government invested in the province.

While admitting to the challenging campaign here, Butz Baz, western Mindanao coordinator of the Duterte Diehard Supporters (DDS), said they were confident the ordinary folks will be able to dissociate their being thankful to President Aquino from their choice for president.

“That will open a space for mayor Duterte,” Baz said.
