Fire destroys 150 houses in Cebu City

CEBU CITY — At least 150 houses made of light materials were destroyed in a fire that hit Sitio San Isidro Labrador, Barangay Quiot, Cebu City, on Wednesday evening.

Senior Fire Officer 2 Lowel Opolentisima, fire investigator of the Cebu City Fire Department, said no one was reported hurt in the fire that destroyed at least P1 million worth of properties.

The fire broke out at 6:15 p.m. in the house of Valeria Ogahayon, but probers were still trying to establish the cause of the fire.

The fire alarm was raised to Task Force Alpha before it was placed under control at 7:34 p.m. Until now, the fire has yet to be completely put out. SFM
