Son jailed after hacking father in Iloilo

ILOILO CITY—A father was brought to the hospital while his son landed in jail following an altercation on Thursday night in New Lucena town, Iloilo province.

Jose Guazo, 62, of Barangay (village) Bulalacao in New Lucena, was wounded in the head and ears after he was hacked by his son, Jose Marie, 32, around 8 p.m.

Jose Marie also suffered minor wounds in the body and was detained at the New Lucena police station detention cell.

Police investigation showed that Jose Marie arrived home drunk. Apparently, the father reprimanded his son and an argument ensued.
Jose Marie hacked his father several times. However, Jose managed to retaliate.
