Did You Know: Teodoro M. Kalaw Sr.

Today, Dec. 4, is the 75th death anniversary of historian, journalist, legislator and educator Teodoro M. Kalaw Sr. Born on March 31, 1884, he was the editor of the revolutionary newspaper, El Renacimiento.

He served in the Philippine Assembly and was later appointed undersecretary of the interior. He also served as director of the National Library and Museum.

Kalaw Avenue in Manila, where the National Library is located, was named in his honor. Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
