MANILA, Philippines — More than 1,000 police officers received promotions in ceremonies held in the National Capital Region Police Office headquarters in Camp Bagong Diwa on Tuesday.
A statement given to reporters said the newly promoted police non-commissioned officers included 244 Police Officers 2, 214 Police Officers 3, 68 Senior Police Officers 1, 440 Senior Police Officers 2, 25 Senior Police Officers 3, and 210 Senior Police Officers 4.
NCRPO chief Joel Pagdilao encouraged the newly promoted law enforcers to be “P.O.L.I.C.E.” which he said meant they should be “protectors of the people, open to the public, law abiders, with integrity and competence, and always performing their tasks with excellence.”
“Always remember that every policeman regardless of rank can contribute towards the realization of our mission and with individual and collective commitment, peace will prevail,” Pagdilao said.
To those aspiring for promotions, Pagdilao said they should “plan ahead” and “comply with the educational and training requirements.”
Also during the ceremonies, Pagdilao awarded the Medalya ng Kagitingan to police officers from the Masambong Police Station of Quezon City Police District and Jose Abad Santos station of the Manila Police District.
