Fire destroys homes in Lanao del Norte

KOLAMBUGAN, Lanao del Norte – At least 14 houses in Barangay Riverside here were destroyed after a fire incident that lasted nearly two hours on Thursday evening.

Mayor Loreto Maňegos told the Inquirer that no one was reported hurt in the fire incident that started 9:30 p.m. and was put off around 11 p.m.
Most of the houses were made of light materials, he added.

“We have still to determine cause of the fire,” Mañegos said.

He said the town government has already provided the victims with assistance, including temporary shelters. Richel Umel, Inquirer Mindanao/CDG
