Perfect record for 150 solons

/ 06:12 AM October 08, 2011

Roughly 150 or more than 52 percent of the 285 members House of Representatives had perfect attendance during the first regular session of the 15th Congress.

On the other hand, among the top absentees were Laguna Rep. Maria Evita Arago, who missed 43 of the total 73 sessions due to pregnancy, and Abra Rep. Jocelyn Bernos who was out of sight for 29 days.

Ang Galing Pinoy Rep. Juan Miguel “Mikey” Arroyo and his uncle, Negros Occidental Rep. Ignacio “Iggy” T. Arroyo, were also among the top absentees as they did not attend 32 and 27 sessions, respectively.

Negros Occidental Rep. Julio Ledesma IV, the previous year’s top absentee, had 27 absences. Ledesma was absent for 47 days last year. Inquirer Research
