Roxas, Robredo team up in prayer, drive in Naga
Is it going to be a “Mar-Leni” tandem in 2016?
Liberal Party’s standard-bearer Manuel “Mar” Roxas II visited Naga City with Camarines Sur representative Leni Robredo and met with Archbishop of Caceres Rolando Tria-Tirona on Friday morning.
They were photographed talking to Tria-Tirona, being prayed over by him, and driving together.
In ambush interview, Robredo confirmed that Roxas had asked her to consider running as his vice president after Senator Grace Poe made her tandem with Senator Francis “Chiz” Escudero official on Thursday.
Roxas had wooed Poe to be his running-mate in the hopes of creating a “formidable tandem” in the pursuit of the Aquino administration’s “Daang Matuwid.”

Robredo and Batangas Governor and actress Vilma Santos are among those being considered for the ruling party’s vice president post.
Robredo, however, made it clear in earlier interviews that she was not keen on running for VP, and was instead seeking either re-election or a seat in the Senate.
