1 dead, 46 hurt in SLEX bus-truck collision

A man died and 46 others were hurt when a passenger bus crashed into a trailer truck along the South Luzon Expressway in San Pedro, Laguna, on Monday.

Police said lone fatality Jonathan Fagurin was pinned inside the southbound bus when it crashed into the truck, reported radio dzMM.

The truck driver said he was about to pull over when the bus rammed him from behind.

But bus driver Benito Antig said the truck driver did not signal and the vehicle suddenly stopped.

Witnesses, however, alleged that Antig fell asleep while driving. CB
