Arrest order out for Manila cop linked to Norwegian’s slay in bar brawl
A Quezon City court has ordered the arrest of a Manila policeman who has been linked to the killing of Mikael Troy Rasay, a Norwegian national, during a bar brawl in July this year.
Judge Henri Jean-Paul Inting of Regional Trial Court Branch 95 issued a warrant for Police Officer 1 Harold Meneses, who allegedly shot the 18-year-old victim.
Rasay was supposed to fly home only a few hours before he was killed.
The policeman, who is assigned to the Manila Police District, is facing a murder charge.
The crime is a nonbailable offense under the Revised Penal Code.
Meneses had sent surrender feelers after the incident, but nothing came out of it.
