For the second straight day, work at the Senate was cut short Thursday afternoon due to bad weather.

Senate President Pro Tempore Ralph Recto told Senate employees to go home at 1 p.m., six hours early of the 7 p.m. schedule end of work at the chamber from Mondays to Thursdays.

Recto gave the directive in behalf of Senate President Franklin Drilon, who is out of the country.

The Senate also suspended its work at 4.p.m Wednesday also due to rain spawned by the southwest monsoon.
