Did you know: National Historical Commission

/ 06:02 AM May 26, 2015

Today, May 26, is the foundation anniversary of the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP), which holds office on T. M. Kalaw Street in Manila. Created in 1972, it was initially called the National Historical Institute (NHI). By virtue of Republic Act No. 10086 signed on May 26, 2010, the NHI was reorganized into the NHCP. It is responsible for the conservation and preservation of the country’s historical legacies.–Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
