/ 08:52 PM May 05, 2015

The e-blotter system will be cascaded to smaller police units in Metro Manila with the Quezon City Police District as the first to adopt the project in its police community precincts.

Soon, blotters in all PCPs under the National Capital Region Police Office will be upgraded to the electronic crime incident reporting system (e-CIRS).

Senior Supt. Bartolome Tobias, Philippine National Police (PNP) spokesperson, said a pilot testing of the e-CIRS was conducted in 21 PCPs of QCPD on April 29.

The NCRPO spent P8.5 million to procure 177 computers for 160 PCPs in Metro Manila for the continuous implementation of the project, which was launched in 2011.

He said the integrated database system will “enhance the PNP’s investigative equipment to give timely, fast and reliable information (on) criminals and solution of criminal cases.”
