P77M released to beneficiaries of slain SAF men
A total of P77 million from the Presidential Social Fund, Philippine National Police, National Police Commission and other institutions has been distributed to the families of the 44 policemen slain in Mamasapano, Maguindanao.
PNP spokesperson Senior Supt. Bartolome Tobias said on Tuesday that as of March 31, P77,176,441.30 had been released to the legal beneficiaries of the Special Action Force troopers killed in the covert operation on Jan. 25 against Malaysian terrorist Zulkifli bin Hir or Marwan.
In a report to the office of Interior Secretary Mar Roxas, PNP officer in charge Police Deputy Director Gen. Leonardo Espina listed the summary of lump sum, pension and other benefits given to the bereaved families.

● Public Safety Mutual Benefits Fund Inc.: P24,537,793.42
● Senate of the Philippines: P5,150,000.00

● Commutation of accumulative leave: P9,604,944.52
● Burial benefit from Napolcom: P2,893,431.00
● Gratuity benefit from Napolcom: P11,573,724.00
● Pension benefits of the policemen from the PNP amounted to P1,143,921.56; from Napolcom P490,193.80
Bartolome said these were deposited in the ATM pension accounts of the 44 men. RC
