Speaker Feliciano Belmonte Jr. on Friday lauded the contributions of the country’s workforce, including those abroad, to the economy, saying they are the drivers of inclusive growth.

In his Labor Day message, the leader of the House of Representatives extended his congratulations to Filipino workers and assured them of the support of the chamber in passing laws for their welfare.

“Our labor force in the country, as well as those who contribute greatly to our economy by serving overseas, are the very foundations of this nation,” he said.
