Rains expected in Caraga, Davao Region due to LPA
Light to moderate rains and isolated thunderstorms are expected to affect parts of Caraga and the Davao Region for the next 24 hours, the state weather bureau said midday Wednesday.
In a bulletin released at 11a.m., the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said the rains are caused by a low pressure area (LPA).
The LPA was last seen 630 kilometers east of Surigao Del Norte.
Pagasa advised the residents of the affected areas and their Risk Reduction Management Councils (RRMC) to remain vigilant and check weather updates occasionally.
The state weather bureau said earlier that the LPA has a slim chance of developing into a cyclone. Ed Glorious Cabading, INQUIRER.net OJT
