Head found in ice box along CamSur highway
NAGA CITY, Philippines – An ice box containing the head of a man was found on the side of Andaya Highway in Lupi, Camarines Sur, Sunday night, a police official said Monday.
Chief Insp. Jerome Regatchuelo, Lupi police chief, said they retrieved the ice box at 9 p.m. Sunday, upon the instruction of Mayor Roberto Matamorosa, who was tipped off by a resident near the highway.
Regatchuelo said the head was turned over to the police crime laboratory for autopsy and preservation.
He said they were investigating how the ice box ended up on Andaya Highway, the main artery to and from Metro Manila and provinces north of Bicol.
On Saturday, three persons were ambushed and killed in Masbate. One of the victims was found with his head missing.
