‘Chedeng’ maintains strength, storm signals persist
MANILA, Philippines-Tropical Storm “Chedeng” has maintained its strength as it continues its path towards land.
In its 5 pm weather forecast, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration said “Chedeng” has maximum sustained winds of 115 kilometers per hour near the center and gusts of 145 kph.
“Chedeng” was last spotted at 4 pm 340 kilometers southeast of Casiguran, Aurora and moving at a pace of 20 kph in a west northwest path.
As of 11 am, Isabela, Southern Cagayan, Kalinga, Mt. Province, Ifugao, Benguet, Nueva Vizcaya, Quirino, Aurora, and Catanduanes are under public storm warning signal no. 2.
Meanwhile, signal no. 1 remained up in the rest of Cagayan including Babuyan Island, Apayao, Ilocos Norte, Ilocos Sur, Abra, La Union, Pangasinan, Nueva Ecija, Tarlac, Pampanga, Bulacan, Rizal, Quezon, Camarines Norte and Camarines Sur.
