MANILA, Philippines–The Bureau of Immigration on Friday said Moro Islamic Liberation Front (MILF) chief negotiator Mohagher Iqbal and MILF chair Al Haj Ebrahim Murad may be using different names in their passports because the two have no travel records in their database.

“Based on our database, there is no record of travel under the names Al haj Murad Ebrahim and Mohagher Iqbal,” Immigration spokesperson Elaine Tan said.

Tan explained that the negative result in the travel records may either imply that the two leaders have not traveled outside the country or may have been using different names in their passports.

Earlier reports came out that the two are using a Malaysian passport which they have already denied.
