Jinggoy, Bong Revilla appeal for extended visiting hours on New Year’s Eve
MANILA, Philippines – Detained senators Ramon “Bong” Revilla Jr. and Jose “Jinggoy” Estrada have filed a request to extend their visiting hours on New Year’s Eve, the Philippine National Police (PNP) said Thursday.
Chief Supt. Wilben Mayor, PNP spokesman, said the two senators filed the request Thursday at the PNP Headquarters Support Service and was recommended for approval by Police Chief Superintendent Alberto Supapo to Deputy Director Leonardo Espina, officer-in-charge of the PNP.
“Revilla and Estrada have filed a request to extend their visiting hours on New Year’s Eve from 1 p.m. to 2 a.m. of Dec. 31, 2014 to January 1, 2015,” Mayor said adding that Espina has yet to decide on the matter.
The two senators have been detained at the PNP headquarters in Camp Crame for their alleged involvement in the multi-billion pork barrel scam allegedly masterminded by Janet Lim-Napoles.
