Blue Devils rout JP Morgan in E-League
THERE’S still no stopping the rampaging the Stream Blue Devils as they chalked up a one-sided 107-65 trashing of the JP Morgan Chase and Co. Bankers last Saturday in the 2011 Powerade E-League for Basketball at the City Sports Club-Cebu Gym.
The 42-point victory cemented Stream’s hold of the solo leadership, tallying their 12th win in 13 games behind the offensive explosion of Roderick Mangubat and Sylvester Millevo, who combined for 59 points.
Mangubat erupted for 32 points, while Millevo scattered 27 markers. The duo was backed by Cruz, who finished with 11 points.
Jonathan Zaragoza scored 20 points, Petronillo Blanco had 17 for the Bankers, who slumped to their eighth loss in 11 games.
In the other game, the Convergys Wolves earned a piece of second place after the nipped the Calltek Trojans, 73-67.
Dean Junber Escalon scored 12 points, Ronald Mabanto tallied 11 and nine other players scored at least four points for the Wolves, who tied the Teletech Titans at second place with their 10th victory in 12 outings.
