PASIL FIRE

SIX houses were destroyed by a fire in barangay Pasil, Cebu City, last Friday night.

Damage was pegged at P180,000.

The cause of the fire is still being investigated, said Ramon Molina, investigator of the Cebu City Fire Department.

GIRL STABBED BY BAR CUSTOMER

A 17-YEAR-OLD girl was stabbed and wounded by a customer of a bar where she was working in barangay Pajo, Lapu-Lapu City.

Police said the girl was told to ask for the bill of three male customers as the bar was already about to close shortly before 4 a.m. yesterday.

Instead of settling their bill, the three customers got irked. One of them stabbed the girl with an icepick.  The three customers fled after the incident.

The girl was brought to the Lapu-Lapu City Hospital then moved to a hospital in Cebu City. It was not explained why a minor was working at the  bar./CORRESPONDENT NORMAN V. MENDOZA

WOMAN STABS LOVER

A 49-YEAR-OLD man was stabbed by his live-in partner after they argued inside a videoke bar in barangay Ibabao-Estancia, Mandaue City, last Friday afternoon.

Roberto Cabahug survived.  His live-in partner, Teodora Canceran, 37, was arrested by responding police.

Police said the couple was drinking in a videoke bar when the quarrel started.

During the argument, Canceran  hit the man with  a song book. The man retaliated by slapping her face.

The woman then went to the kitchen, returned with a knife and attacked her partner.

The wounded Cabahug was later brought to a Cebu City hospital.
