Cebu businessman, daughter hurt in shooting

Cebu city mapCEBU CITY–A businessman and his seven-year-old daughter were hurt after two men fired shots at their vehicle on Monday in Barangay Guadalupe, Cebu City.

Jonathan Go,38, and his daughter just got out of the gate of their residence in Happy Valley on their way to school at around 6:30 a.m. when two men came close to their vehicle and fired shots at Go.

Go sustained gunshot wounds on his body while his daughter sustained a gunshot wound on the arm. Both are now being treated at a hospital.

Witnesses said the gunmen stood on both sides of the van and fired shots at Go.

The gunmen then boarded a waiting motorcycle driven by a third man and fled toward the southern part of the city.

Police are still investigating the shooting of Go who is engaged in an automotive business.
