Three explosions rock parts of Mindanao–reports

mindanao mapMANILA. Philippines — Three explosions rocked different areas in Mindanao Tuesday night, killing one and injuring nine others, according to radio reports.

In Cagayan de Oro City, an unidentified man with an illegal drugs charge died when a grenade exploded near his house as three police officers tried to arrest him. The blast also wounded police, the report said. There were no details on what caused the explosion.

In General Santos City, six people were injured when an improvised explosive device went off in front of city hall.

The alleged perpetrators detonated the explosive device in front of the Rizal Monument which damaged the marker.
