MANILA, Philippines–Expresspay Inc. is now processing compensation claims for its customers who have encountered irregularities in transactions coursed through its Wawa, Taguig City, branch.

Expresspay Inc. franchises payment centers that process bills payments on behalf of its partner banks and other accredited payment institutions for utility companies like electricity and water, among others. “It has come to the company’s attention that one of our former franchise holders, Gavoj Trading, which operates the Wawa, Taguig, branch, received payments from customers that were not coursed through the company’s electronic payment system,” said Allen Mascenon, Expresspay Inc. president.

“We are saddened that a former franchisee has committed these questionable acts,” he said, adding that the incident has been reported to the Department of Trade and Industry.
