Lagtang leads winners in Talisay hoop, volley tourneys

THE Talisay City Sports Development Program 2011 Inter-Secondary Basketball and Volleyball (boys and girls) tournament conducted its final matches last weekend at the Talisay City Sports Complex.

Lagtang National High School captured the basketball crown after beating Saint Scholastica’s Academy in the finals while Cansojong National High School and Candulawan National High School placed third and fourth, respectively.

Lawaan National High School meanwhile, dominated the volleyball boys division after beating Saint Scholastica’s Academy. Tabunok National High School and San Roque NHS rounded up the top four boys teams.

Sisters of Mary School volleybelles topped the girls volleyball tournament crushing Jaclupan National High School in the finals. Saint Scholastica’s Academy finished third followed by Talisay City NHS.  /CORRESPONDENT DALE G. ROSAL
