NBI: Palparan companions to be charged with obstruction of justice
MANILA, Philippines–A case for obstruction of justice will be filed against two individuals arrested for harboring retired General Jovito Palparan, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) Director Virgilio Mendez said Tuesday at a press conference.
Reynaldo and Grace Roa who were arrested along with Palparan will be slapped with a case for violation of Presidential Decree 1829 or the Decree Penalizing Obstruction of Apprehension and Prosecution of Criminal Offenders.
The two are working for the security agency owned by Palparan’s family.
On Tuesday Morning, combined forces of the NBI and the Armed Forces of the Philippines arrested Palparan at a house on Teresa St., in Sta. Mesa, Manila.
