‘Inday’ slows down, maintains strength

MANILA, Philippines—Tropical Depression Inday has slowed down as it continues to traverse northward and out of the Philippine area of responsibility, the weather bureau said Wednesday evening.

In its 11 p.m. bulletin, the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (Pagasa) said Inday now moves at 17 kilometers per hour, from 19 kph previously, and packs maximum sustained winds of 55 kph.

As of 10 p.m., the eye of Inday was at 560 km east northeast of Basco, Batanes, and was moving at a north northwest path, according to Pagasa

Pagasa raised no public storm warning signals as Inday is not expected to make a landfall.
