Makati to get over 300 new cops in 2015
MANILA, Philippines–The Philippine National Police (PNP) is deploying additional police force in Makati City to enhance its operational capability, a police spokesperson said Friday.
Chief Superintendent Reuben Theodore Sindac, PNP spokesman, said the National Capital Region (NCRPO) would allocate 346 rookie police officers and four non-uniformed crime registrars in Makati for 2015.
Sindac said the police officers would undergo training this year and would be ready for deployment next year.
He said 117 police officers for troop augmentation are ready to be deployed to Makati as need arises.
The police augmentation came after Makati City Mayor Jejomar Erwin “Junjun” Binay Jr. requested for additional police forces following the spike of crimes in the city.
