World Premieres Film Fest at SM cinemas, July 2-8

/ 11:47 PM June 28, 2014

World Premieres Film Festival Philippines (WPFF) is set to have feature films screened at select SM cinemas—Sta. Mesa, Manila, Mall of Asia, Megamall and North Edsa—from July 2 to 8.

Thanks to stronger ties between the Film Development Council of the Philippines (FDCP) and the cultural arm of various embassies in the country, the WPFF would be the biggest international film festival in the Philippines this year, with film luminaries, directors and celebrity guests expected to attend.

SM Cinema has been the largest film distributor in the country, helping the expansion of the local film industry, while the Inquirer has long been supporting the local film market through Indie Bravo, an annual film festival in partnership with the FDCP.
