Even Aquino not spared from flood-induced traffic

Manila, Philippines—The massive traffic jams that occurred on Thursday affected many in Metro Manila, even President Benigno Aquino III.

The President, together with Justice Secretary Leila De Lima, was late for around 20 minutes for the Philippine Bar Association’s 123rd foundation day celebration at Manila Polo Club.

Aquino apologized to the 200 or so lawyers, adding that his advance team was still stuck in traffic after heavy rains flooded main thoroughfares in Manila.
