Caloocan gets 4 LED billboards

/ 03:36 AM May 12, 2014

MANILA, Philippines—The Caloocan council has given permission to an outdoor advertising company to install electronic billboards throughout the city which will display announcements from the city government.

The city council enacted Ordinance No. 0513, series of 2013, which gave permission to My Ad Services Inc. (Masi) to put up at least four electronic LED video signboards within the city aimed at spreading relevant information.

According to the ordinance, Masi submitted an unsolicited proposal to the city government last year for the installation of public order and safety billboards in the city.

“The general public will greatly benefit from public announcements to be regularly provided by the city government regarding such matters as filing deadlines, schedule of public hearings, digests of newly enacted legislation or policies, traffic advisories, alerts during typhoons, earthquakes, and other emergency situations,” the ordinance added.—Nathaniel R.
