CAMP VICENTE LIM, Laguna—A village councilor in Trece Martires City was gunned down early Thursday following an online casino game, police said.

Police found Ronald Cale, 38, a member of the village council in Cabuco, dead in the driver’s seat of his car around 4 a.m. in Barangay Hugo Perez, also in Trece Martires.

Cale had a gunshot wound in the nape which police believed was caused by a gun fired at close range, according to investigator PO2 Lester Luke Baysa of the Trece Martines police.
