Injured in armory fire climbs to 32—official

MANILA, Philippines—After a fire engulfed and caused a series of explosions in one of the Philippine Army’s armory at Fort Bonifacio in Taguig City, the number of injured has risen to32, a military spokesman said.
Lieutenant Colonel Noel Detoyato said that the wounded were composed of enlisted men, fire fighters, and volunteers.
Of the 32, 20 were released, six still confined at the Armed Forces of the Philippines Medical Center in V Luna, four were in stable condition at the Army General Hospital, and two moved to the Ospital ng Makati ang Taguig Pateros General Hospital.
Fire broke out at the armory of the Army support Command at Fort Bonifacio Wednesday, causing a series of explosions.
The cause of the incident has yet to be determined as the military tries to contain the damage.
