LPA to bring cloudy skies, rain over Samar –Pagasa
MANILA, Philippines — A low pressure area near Eastern Samar will bring cloudy skies with light to moderate rains and thunderstorms over Samar provinces, the state weather bureau said Tuesday.
The LPA was last observed 550 kilometers east of Borongan in Eastern Samar, the Philippine Atmospheric Geophysical and Astronomical Services and Administration said.
If it intensifies into a tropical depression, it will be called “Ester.”
A high pressure area, meanwhile, is across Northern Luzon.
Moderate to occasionally strong winds blowing from the northeast will prevail over the eastern section of Central and Southern Luzon and over Eastern Visayas and the coastal waters along these areas will be moderate to occasionally rough, Pagasa said.
