The Philippine National Red Cross was established by virtue of Republic Act No. 95 signed into law by President Manuel A. Roxas on April 15, 1947. Aurora Aragon Quezon, wife of President Manuel L. Quezon, was its first chair. Known today as Philippine Red Cross, its office is located on Bonifacio Drive, Port Area, Manila. Marielle Medina, Inquirer Research
