Robbery suspect killed in Cavite shootout

MANILA, Philippines—A robbery suspect was killed in a shootout in Imus, Cavite, on Wednesday, police said Thursday.

Chief Superintendent Agrimero Cruz Jr., spokesman of the Philippine National Police, said one of the suspects, who was riding in tandem on a motorcycle, was killed while the other one, who managed to flee on foot, was believed wounded.

The incident happened around 3 a.m. on Ilang-Ilang street in Plaridel subdivision, Bayan Luma 7 village, Imus, said Cruz.

A 9mm pistol, Suzuki motorcycle with plate number ZL 4799, a helmet and wallet of the suspects were recovered at the area, Cruz said.

Cruz said the suspects had yet to be identified.—Danica Hermogenes
