MANILA, Philippines—Commission on Audit   (CA) commissioner Heidi  Mendoza   on Tuesday “begged” that the  powerful Commission on Appointments (CA) confirm  her appointment, saying her  only  mistake  was to pursue a case against who wants  to become a president.

“I’m begging to this committee, I keep coming  back, watching those  who have been confirmed  and I’m really envious…” Mendoza  said, responding to  opposition raised against  her during her confirmation hearing   of the CA’s committee on  constitutional commissions and offices.
