BAGUIO CITY—A 55-year-old man was killed on Thursday when fire, caused by an exploding liquefied petroleum gas tank, razed his house in Barangay Aurora Hill here, police said.

Firemen found the burned body of Tony Suyat inside the bathroom of his house in San Antonio Village past 2 p.m. The fire started at 1:50 p.m.

“Neighbors urged us to enter the house because they feared someone was inside. But when we [tried to] enter the house, the front door was locked,” said Rafael Valencia, head of the emergency response group 911 Rescue on Call.

His neighbors said Suyat was last seen smoking a cigarette outside his house at noon. Then he entered the house and they heard an explosion. EV Espiritu, Inquirer Northern Luzon
