2 victims of shooting incidents still unidentified

Two still unidentified men were killed in separate shooting incidents in Quezon City before dawn Monday.

The first victim, identified only as “Jamal,” was described as 5’ 4” in height, clad in a black shirt and a tattoo on the back that read “Jomel Versoza.”

The second victim, known only as “Jun-jun,” was between 20 and 25 years old and also 5’ 4” in height. He was dressed in a gray shirt with long sleeves, a cap and, like Jamal, had a tattoo on his back.

Jamal was gunned down at 12:15 a.m. Monday at the corner of Gumamela and Dama de Noche Streets in Barangay (village) Central. Case investigator PO3 Erickson Isidro said barangay watchmen were on patrol when they heard bursts of gunfire in the area. They later came upon the victim lying on the ground.

A check showed that Jamal was shot several times with a .45-cal. pistol.

Meanwhile, Jun-jun was gunned down around 1 a.m. Monday at a terminal in Commonwealth Market, Barangay Commonwealth. Case investigator PO2 Anthony Tejerero said two men were spotted by witnesses shooting the victim several times in the back and head.—Julie M. Aurelio
