PBA D-League Aspirants Cup continues today with doubleheader

FOUR TEAMS will be trying to start the year on the right note when they do battle in the continuation of the 2013 PBA D-League Aspirants Cup today at the Arellano University gym.

In the first game, the Air21-Arellano University will try to make the most out of their home court advantage when they face off against the winless BDO-National University while the main offing will see the Hiog’s Breath Cafe Razorbacks do battle against the resurgent Boracay Rum Waves.

The Chiefs would like to forget their 2013 stint where they piled up eight losses against a lone win and have the perfect chance to do so today against a Bulldogs team that has not won a single game in six games, to lie at the bottom of the standings.

In contrast, the Razorbacks aim to boost their 7-2 (win-loss) mark but will be hard-pressed to do so against a Waves (4-5) team that has won back-to-back games for the first time this conference after ending the past year with an 83-66 win over the Zambales M-Builders. /Correspondent Jonas Panerio
