Five hundred runners, including Danao City mayor Ramon “Nito” Durano III,  have registered for the  “Halad Kang Mano Amon Run” this Sunday in Danao City, northern Cebu.

The race is the second longest running footrace in Cebu next to the Milo Marathon. The 35-year-old race is held annually to celebrate the birthday of Danao City”s grand old man, Ramon “Mano Amon” Durano Sr.

Race organizer and director Oscar “Boying” Rodriguez said 33 boxers from the famed ALA Boxing Gym already confirmed their participation in the race in coordination with Cris Aldeguer.
