To encourage donations, Carlson and the Carlson Family Foundation agreed to match donations of up to $10,000. The total amount committed by Carlson and the Carlson Family Foundation is more than $50,000, which will go to relief groups such as Internal Rescue Committee Typhoon Haiyan Fund and American Red Cross Typhoon Appeal.

“As a responsible business, we believe that we should do what we can to help the communities that we operate in. Club Carlson is among the first few to provide a platform for its loyal members to provide assistance to the affected communities. It is heartening to see Club Carlson members come forward to use their reward points, which they have earned by staying at our hotels, to contribute to this worthy cause. We are grateful for their support and thank them for their generosity. We encourage more members to support this cause,” said Simon Barlow, president, Asia Pacific, Carlson Rezidor Hotel Group.
