/ 03:24 AM December 20, 2013

After a year in “business,” a couple ended up behind bars in Quezon City for allegedly peddling illegal drugs in their neighborhood.

Luis Abrigo, 55, and Teresa Balero, 43, were arrested in a buy-bust operation by the Quezon City Police District in front of their house on Presidential Street, Barangay (village) Batasan Hills Wednesday night.

The couple sold five grams of what police described as low-grade “shabu” to poseur buyers, according to Senior Insp. Roberto Razon, head of the QCPD Anti-Illegal Drugs unit.

“They have been in the business of selling shabu for over a year now. They sell it right in the community and they have become notorious for it,” Razon said.
