MANILA, Philippines—The security guard allegedly hit on the head by a legislator who did not want to go through security checks on Monday has opted not to press charges.

In a 990AM report, security guard Ricardo Bunayog believed that suing Lanao del Sur Representative Mohammed Hussein Pangandaman would be an uphill battle.

Bunayog however clarified that he neither received death threats nor settlement money, saying he had not spoken with Pangandaman or any of his representative.

Reports said that Pangandaman allegedly punched Bunayog twice on the head on Monday, after the security guard insisted that the legislator’s sports car bearing a special plate number for House members go through a normal security inspection before entering a commercial center along Commonwealth Ave., in Quezon City.

Bunayog said Pangandaman has not apologized for the incident.

Pangandaman on Tuesday denied the accusation, saying it was the security guard who acted rudely on seeing his special plate number.

Pangandaman said the guard even attempted to draw his gun. At that point, the lawmaker alleged that he hit the guard with some papers he was holding.
