International Pilgrim Virgin of Fatima icon to visit Cebu

The International Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of Fatima from Portugal has been visiting various archdioceses all over the country since September this year.

The visit is being hosted by the World Apostolate of Fatima of the Philippines (WAF Philippines).

On the last leg of her visit, the Our Lady of Fatima will be in the Archdiocese of Cebu on Dec. 16-19.

1. Her itinerary while in Cebu includes visiting various parishes like the Cebu Metropolitan Cathedral and Virgen dela Regla Shrine in Lapu-Lapu City on Dec. 16; St. Augustine Parish in Carmen and Archdiocesan Shrine of Our Lady of Fatima in Basak, Mandaue City on Dec. 17; St. Catherine of Alexandria Parish in Carcar City and St. Joseph Parish in Tabunok, Talisay City on Dec. 18; Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish and Basilica del Sto. Niño on Dec. 19, where a solemn foot procession will take place at 1 p.m.

The procession will start from the Department of Health Fuente Osmeña to the Basilica del Sto. Niño.

A farewell mass will be celebrated at 4:30 p.m. after which a Fatima Adieu will be accorded to Our Lady before she departs and returns to her Sanctuary in Fatima, Portugal.
